Week 9 book buzz

This week for my book buzz I made some lapita pottery on google draw.
I did this because in the story that we are reading
Where Cuckoos call by Des Hut.

This is a drawing I did of a flying car it has drums, wings, doors, (runs on clouds) and you can jump out the doors and window that opens. as you can tell I wanted the flying car.

Vocab challenge

         Word 1: Migratory
   This word means...denoting an animal that migrates.
      Word 2: Tropical cyclone
This word means… a localized, very intense low-pressure wind system, forming over tropical oceans and with winds of hurricane force.

                    Word 3: La Nina
This word means...a cooling of the water in the equatorial Pacific, which occurs at irregular intervals, and is associated with widespread changes in weather patterns complementary to those of El Niño, but less extensive and damaging in their effects.

         Word 4:  El Niño
This word means… an irregularly occurring and complex series of climatic changes affecting the equatorial Pacific region and beyond every few years, characterized by the appearance of unusually warm, nutrient-poor water off northern Peru and Ecuador, typically in late December. The effects of El Niño include reversal of wind patterns across the Pacific, drought in Australasia, and unseasonal heavy rain in South America.

Where Cuckoos call setting the scene












This is a collage of 4 different scenes from our book where cuckoos call.
The first scene is three bikers talking the second is a boy called Ben grabbing a cuckoo out of a nest the third one is Ben thinking about what food to buy for his bird and the last scene is some teens parting late at night on table rock mountain.
