Ihipera's 2nd Chapter Challenge.(Away with words)

This week for my Chapter Challenge I did Away with words.
what I did was I had to right the letter on my freedom writing doc and then I had to put it on a separate doc to get it printed out then I Bought some tea bags to school to make my letter look old the I made some rips and tears.
I think it was really fun and I loved making it.
I think that the hardest part was doing the tea bag effect on my letter because I didn't know to stop.

Ihipera's first Chapter Challenge of 2020(Digital Design)

                         -Digital Design-
For the first week of chapter chat I decided to make a Digital Design. We are reading a book called the map makers race which is based in the olden days and its all about 4 kids named Francie, Joe, Sal, Humphrey and there Mum who sign up for a Map makers race. 
The rules are You and your team have 28 day's to map out a rail road track to get from Grand prospect all the way to new coal Haven, just when there about to hop on the train to Grand prospect everyone thinks that Joe has gone missing so there Mum goes of to try and go find him, as soon as she leave's Joe comes back and before they know it the train is ready to leave and they end up hoping on the train without there Mum. 
Now they have to compete with 5 other teams filled with adults that don't play by the rules.
For my task I made some flags/logos for three of the teams competing, I made The Santanders Family, Cody's Cowboy's and Monte's Mountaineers, What I did was I made the logos Digitally then I printed them out, I then cut them out and glued some Ice block sticks to the back of them to make them Flags, then I used kind of tinfoil material that is coloured and the colours from the foil transfers on to whatever has a little glue on it, I used that for the Ice block sticks.
I think that the most challenging part of it was decorating the ice block sticks because some times the foil wouldn't work so I had to keep on trying and trying until it finally worked.(Special little thank you to Tamzin for helping me with some Ideas and teaching me some new tricks on google drawings,I wouldn't have been able to finish it without you)

Ihipera's visual Pepeha

Over the last week I have been working on my visual pepeha.

I am proud of my Moana because I really like the way that I decided to colour it and I think that it looks really nice.

What I found challenging was fitting my pictures in because for some of my photos I had to cut then into two parts and then glue the two parts on top of each other. 

I worked with Tamzin, Stephanie, Kat and my Mum to create my whanau star.

The activity I have enjoyed the most this week was when Mr Hitch men set up a Slip 'n Slide and we got to go out side and use it, It was fun because we got to go on our stomachs or our knees and Mrs Kennedy kept spraying me with the hose and it was fun. 

A goal I have for myself this year is to try and participate in more things this year like doing more jobs or helping other people out with things, I hope that I can achieve my goal this year. 

How I aim to show our NPS ICARE this year is if I fail at something then I can keep on trying and trying and never give up until I finally finish.
